Welcome. I’m Michelle. After 25 years in financial services and close insight into the creative industries, I know first hand how the pace and demands of modern life can wear us down over time.
For me, it showed up as anxiety, overthinking, and a constant cycle of self doubt. I would over prepare, replay my performance in a negative light, and spend weekends worrying about the week ahead. The reality was that I was exhausting myself over things I couldn’t change and because the brain doesn’t distinguish between imagination and reality, those worries felt just as heavy as lived experience. Confidence slipped away, sleep was disrupted, and life began to feel like survival mode rather than living.
That personal experience led me to Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH). I’m currently training with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT), the UK’s leading provider of hypnotherapy education. SFH is a modern, forward looking approach grounded in neuroscience, emotional safety, and practical tools. My sessions offer a calm, structured space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with your strengths so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and hope.
SFH is a modern approach that combines talking therapy with hypnosis. Developed in the 1990s by David Newton, founder of the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT), it draws on elements of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Ericksonian techniques.
Unlike therapies that focus on analysing the past, SFH emphasises the present and future, guiding you to focus on what you want to achieve (your preferred future) rather than the problems that brought you to therapy. This helps you access the part of the brain associated with positive outcomes and solutions, encouraging you to generate your own strategies for moving forward.
